I recently discovered online the Dutch organic and vegan brand Abloom Skincare & decided to try out their hydrating toner and organic eye make-up remover.

Why did I order Abloom Skincare’s toner and eye-makeup remover?

1. Organic Hydrating Toner

This vitamin-rich toner nourishes, hydrates and protects the skin to restore the skin’s balance. The toner helps reduce the size of pores, is anti-inflammatory, calms red & sensitive skin and helps keep skin looking youthful. Wild chamomile, European eld blossom and greater nettle support vital skin functions and act as anti-oxidants.

My review:
I chose this brand because of the organic/ toxin-free ingredients. Always check the names of the ingredients! I also love the fact that this toner smells so natural. I smell straight away the Lavandula or English Lavender. Besides the amazing natural fragrance, it has a slightly oily texture. It absorbs very fast, and it leaves my skin very hydrated and toned. I have a super sensitive skin and I didn’t have any irritation after using it. Love this product!

2. Organic Eye Make-Up Remover

The cleansing almond oil in the eye make-up remover is very gentle and soft on the skin, removes all eye make-up and treats the delicate skin around the eyes. Pure rosemary and fennel extracts ensure effective hydration. Rejuvenating French lavender reduces the appearances of fine lines.

Use: Apply a small amount onto your fingertips and massage the eye make-up remover over the eyelids and lashes, remove all residue with a cotton pad or wet cloth. This remover can even be used while wearing contact lenses.

My Review:
Removing your make-up every night is a skin care necessity. Sleeping with your face make-up on can lead to dry skin, acne, and even wrinkles caused by collagen breakdown — and that’s just face make-up. Leaving eye make-up can even cause eye infections, eye irritation, styes, and broken eyelashes. So, tired or not, just do it! ?

I always remove my eye make-up with an oil-based product specifically for the eyes. Because the skin around the eyes is very sensitive, I also prefer to use cotton pads instead of cotton balls (leave fibers behind).
I love Abloom Skincare’s product. All the ingredients are natural, and it removes my eye make-up very easily. The texture of this product is very oily (great!) and it has a neutral fragrance. I did not try his product with waterproof mascara/make-up. I will be testing soon and update this article. So stay tuned!
Furthermore, it is important to take your time. The slower you go, the better. When you apply the make-up remover, just let it sit for a few minutes. This prevents you to damage the delicate skin around your eyes. Many people are rubbing and scrubbing too much with the make-up remover pad. This can cause irritation and wrinkles… Just skim the surface in one direction to pull up the color.
